Assignments Grading

Assignments will be graded based on the correctness of the answers, clarity of explanations, and adherence to the assignment guidelines. Each assignment will be worth 100 points, and the grading criteria will be communicated in advance. The assignments will be graded within one week after the submission deadline, and feedback will be provided to help you improve your understanding of the material.

Submit Assignments Guidelines

Assignments will be submitted to Canvas as a PDF. Below is a step-by-step guide to submitting your assignments.

  1. Header. At the top of the document, include the assignment number, your name, and your StMU student ID#.
  2. Bold your answer by the question/subquestion number.. For example, if the question has a subquestion 1.1, your answer should be have a preface of 1.1. This will help the grader quickly identify the location of your answers.
  3. Run cells. If the assignment involves code execution, ensure all code cells have run and the output is included in the PDF.
  4. Review your work. Before submitting, double-check your document for any missing parts or omissions. The grader will not be able to give you full credit if your answer is missing or incomplete.
  5. Submit on time. Ensure that you submit your assignment by the deadline specified in the course schedule. Late submissions may be penalized according to the course policies specified in the syllabus.
